Accessibility statement

BOTD is building for public access on the street and on the web.

Builders of the Desert aims to make tour information clear, route expectations explicit, and access needs visible before a visitor arrives downtown.

Website accessibility

BOTD is working toward a website experience that supports keyboard navigation, readable typography, high-contrast presentation, responsive layouts, and clear labels for forms and route information.

If you encounter a barrier while using the site, contact BOTD so the issue can be reviewed and corrected.

Route accessibility

The current launch catalog includes an accessible public route, Heart of the Plaza, designed around shorter distance, level surfaces, and central downtown access. Other routes vary in distance, pace, sidewalk condition, and exposure.

BOTD encourages visitors, caregivers, educators, and group organizers to contact the team in advance about mobility, seating, heat sensitivity, restroom access, and other participation needs.

Advance planning

BOTD can often help participants identify the best route fit, discuss route tradeoffs, and plan for group access needs before booking. Private and school inquiries may include additional access planning.
